my best friend :)

You know how some people have really amazing best friends. Those that they've known for years. I've had one in primary school, a few in secondary school and a couple during my poly years. Best friends are those whom you share almost every thing with. I'm glad to have crossed paths with these individuals and some of them are still great friends to me till this day.

Over 3 and a half years ago. I met someone. That someone made me feel happy. That person was someone I could totally clicked with. We had soooooo many things in common, yet we are sooooo different. That person is now my husband. He became a lover and then a best friend. The bestest i've got. I have to be honest and say that there are moments where I feel like strangling him ala Ally Mc Beal, but seriously, he makes my life so much more interesting and I hate being apart from him. Because he is my best friend and we do sooo many things together. We fight, we make up, we argue, we annoy each other, we laugh together, we do crazy things, we hang out, we exercise, we talk to each other about almost everything and we love each other. I know how some couples need their time apart. But the funny thing about us is that we love each other's company. There was a day when he randomly looked and me and said, "B, you know what, you are my best friend." And I couldn't stop smiling. Random but coming from a man, that's veryyyyyyy sweet lor!

This whole marriage thing is amazing. It's like God's way of putting two people together for the rest of their lives (hopefully). We enjoy being there for each other. We enjoy talking about each other. We live for each other. He is made for me, indeed. Marriage is ALOT of hard work and effort. It takes two to tango. When we argue, we talk it out and find the best solution. When we are happy, we say thank you to each other for the good times and cherish the moment. At the end of the day, it's about going back to basics, to why you fell in love with each other in the first place.

Dear best friend, thank you for always making me smile and laugh. You are a very funny man, even though not many have experienced that side of you cos you're always looking so serious and all. lol. Thank you for sticking by me, taking care of me and always wanting to do the best for me and the family. Thank you for sharing the very good and bad times with me. Thank you for being MY best friend.

You were my best friend when we were 10 kilos lighter.

You are still my (very funny) best friend when we are at our chubbiest.

And you are also a very good friend and awesome example to our two boys. And that, to me is such a great feeling. I am very blessed to have you in my life, Alhamdulillah. :)

Together, we shall experience many more memorable moments in this life. Coming up, is Ashayr's 1st birthday party that's happening in 11 days time and our VERY BIG PROJECT in November. I am excited, like crazyyyy! lol.

I love you, my best friend. More than you can ever imagine.

Best friends FOREVER, ok? ;)

XOXO
Your best friend,
Nona.
